genomics.entrepreneurship@UBC aims to address the unique entrepreneurial challenges associated with the uptake of genomics research in natural resource management. Overcoming these hurdles could contribute significantly to environmental sustainability and the ongoing success of Canada’s natural resource sector as it adapts to the changing global economy and climate.
A three-year pilot project in partnership with Genome Canada and Genome BC, genomics.entrepreneurship@UBC is creating education, skills development and networking opportunities for students, researchers and stakeholders across multiple disciplines. Leveraging the existing entrepreneurship@UBC initiative, the project is being led by UBC’s University-Industry Liaison Office and the Sauder School of Business.
genomics.entrepreneurship@UBC is funded as the Genomics Research Entrepreneurship to Accelerate Translation (GREAT) project. Read the press release announcing launch of the project, and visit our Media Room.
