About Dominique
Dominique Williams is currently a Research Development Coordinator at STEMCELL Technologies in Vancouver. She previously completed her Master in Biomedical Technology (MTB) in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Calgary and graduated from the University of British Columbia (UBC) with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology and Immunology.
Prior to her position at STEMCELL Technologies, Dominique was involved in a UBC startup focused on translating environmental DNA into values added solutions. She also has had experience in laboratory, as during her undergrad Dominique carried out her thesis project identifying phenotypic differences among characterized antibiotic resistant E. coli mutants in order to better understand environmental antibiotic resistance. Her lab experience during her time at UBC exposed her to the biotechnology industry and provided her with the desire to follow a career in this line of work.
In her free time, Dominique loves to be in the outdoors. In the winter she is an avid downhill skier while come summer, she enjoys hiking, rock-climbing, and kayaking.
