Blair Simonite is COO/CFO for Recombo Inc., a cloud software firm that provides rapid customer onboarding solutions to the financial services industry. Prior to Recombo, Blair was Vice President Finance and Operations with ACL Services Ltd., a Vancouver-based global software company, for over 10 years. Earlier in his career he held general management and engineering positions with companies including Duke Energy, Cerberus Pyrotronics, and Honeywell.
Blair teaches entrepreneurship and innovation at the Sauder School of Business, and is deeply involved with Entrepreneurship@UBC in helping UBC-connected entrepreneurs create successful new ventures. He serves on the board of clean-tech company dPoint Technologies and the Board of Governors of Capilano University, and has had many years of involvement with BC Social Venture Partners, an organization that funds and mentors not-for-profit organizations with innovative approaches to social issues. Blair holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of British Columbia, a Master of Business Administration degree from Simon Fraser University, and is a registered professional engineer. He is an avid trail runner and float plane pilot.
